"Metroid A" progress:

all rooms now have colliders to determine how the camera should be limited. Some of them don't work right. =_=

Accidentally used colliding tiles for the lava, so Samus can just walk on it. Also accidentally used colliding tiles for some bushes.

Gravity is too high. (Samus's jumping should be floatier, and she should fall more slowly.)


How to Be a Game Developer:

After you've replaced all the lava in the level with the non-colliding version, remember that you used the colliding version for a REASON (Samus has to take damage while she's touching it) and just forgot to change its mask so it doesn't stop movement, because the non-colliding lava is meant for the rooms where it's a decoy for a traversable "staircase" below it.
